Most flights to India will cost between $1000 and $1500 (USD) from the United States. Booking your ticket 3-6 months in advance is ideal for flexibility and options.
Most hotels, resorts and government facilities are Wi-Fi enabled. Internet cafes are located in the cities. Pay phones are less frequent these days, however calling cards are available. Most mobile phones will work throughout India, but roaming charges can be quite substantial. Please check with your mobile provider about their international roaming for India.

You will need a valid passport from the country in which you reside and a visa issued from the Indian government.
